How to use nutrition to optimise immune function

Dr Marilyn Glenville will cover the two different types of immunity and the factors that can weaken how effective the immune system functions. 


During this session, Dr Glenville will cover the nutritional aspects of immune health including research on chrononutrition, how timing of food is as important as quality.  The most important nutrients for immune function will be covered as well as the benefits of controlling stress and how patterns of eating can be factor in this. 

Dr Marilyn Glenville PhD is the UK’s leading nutritionist specialising in women’s health.

She is the former President of the Food and Health Forum at the Royal Society of Medicine, a nutritionist, psychologist and author who obtained her doctorate from Cambridge University.

Dr Glenville was previously officially appointed by the FSA (The Food Standards Agency) as an observer on the expert committee set up to look into the safety of vitamins, minerals and supplements in the UK.  She is also the former Chair of the governing council for the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine.


For over thirty-five years Dr Glenville has studied and practiced nutrition specialising in the natural approach to female hormone problems. She has had several papers published in scientific journals, frequently advises health professionals, lectures to students and undergraduates at the main nutrition colleges around the UK and has lectured at academic conferences held at The Medical Society and the Royal College of Physicians and The Royal College of Surgeons.
